Please read the following so you understand the important difference between joining as a "Member" and joining as a "Candidate".
There are two ways to join NSA Tennessee:
- MEMBER: If you are currently a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), you are eligible to join NSAT as a "Member" at a discounted rate, giving you the opportunity to socialize and network with your peers in a fun and informative environment. You will be notified of occasional "Members only" special events, for example, private dinner invitations with guest speakers, etc. Members also get to be listed on the NSAT web site.
- CANDIDATE: If you are not currently a member of NSA, or you are investigating the possibility of developing a speaking career, we welcome you to join us as a "Candidate". As a candidate, you will be able to attend our monthly meetings which are both educational and entertaining. You will rub shoulders with those who are currently making a living as professional speakers and learn from some of the nation’s foremost speaking professionals. A primary focus of our chapter is to help our candidates understand the requirements for joining the National Speakers Association and then give them the knowledge and support to meet those requirements and become members.

NSA is a community of thousands of speaking professionals all over the world -- a community where the pursuit of knowledge and the sharing of ideas is a way of life. NSA’s founder, Cavett Robert, believed in sharing knowledge with everyone around him. When his contemporaries were busy fighting for their "share of the pie", Cavett believed in making the pie larger so everyone could have a piece. We would love to have you join our energetic group as you develop your speaking business.
