Please read the following so you understand the important difference between joining as a "Member" and joining as a "Candidate".
There are two ways to join NSA Tennessee:
- MEMBER: If you are currently a member of the National Speakers Association(NSA), you are eligible to join NSAT as a "Member".
- CANDIDATE: If you are not currently a member of NSA, (national level of the NSA)or you are investigating the possibility of developing a speaking career, we welcome you to join us as a "Candidate".
Membership Investment and Benefits:
- NSAT Membership - $125 a year (+ $20 registration when attending each State Chapter Workshop/Meeting. Meeting registration includes a box-lunch.) Save $36 when you pre-pay for all meetings at a discounted rate of only $189.
- NSAT Candidate Membership- $185 a year (+ $20 registration when attending each State Chapter Workshop/Meeting. Meeting registration includes box-lunch.) Save $36 when you pre-pay for all meetings at a discounted rate of only $249. (NSAT Candidate
Non-Member (Guests/Visitors):
- State Chapter Meeting/Workshop- $40 (includes the box lunch).
- Regional Meetings - $15
(State Workshops/Meetings are currently scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of the month for Aug., Sept, Nov., Jan., March and June from 8:30-2:30pm. Each State Chapter Meeting will include a NSA pro that will share their expertise for building your speaker business. (Many of these speakers command thousands of dollars to attend their workshops/presentations and you only pay $20!) Regional meetings (workshops, networking, etc.) will be offered each month in the Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville areas - schedule TBA.)
NSAT Member Benefits:
- Join a powerful, local network of professional speakers. Participate in the exchange of ideas, strategies, and techniques to help you grow your speaking business.
- No fee for attending NSAT regional meetings (some exceptions may apply if there is a cost for that event's venue).
- Profile/Contact listing on NSAT website for meeting planners, etc.
- Access to our "Lending Library" for unique business and speaker related resources including national conference recordings, meeting recordings, videos and other audios and resources.
- Invitation to the "Dinner with the Pros" events (with our special guest speaker on the Friday night before our State Chapter meetings).
- Reduced chapter dues as a NSA (national) member.
- Eligible to "Showcase" your presentation, speech or material at a meeting and have it video-taped for feedback (feedback optional).
- Eligible to serve on NSAT Board.
- Free access to our monthly "Tech-Talk" webinar. These are 30-60 minute "how-to" webinar tutorials for how to use business enhancing "tech"/software products. (For example: Constant Contact, Google Calendar, Facebook how-to's, Dropbox, PowerPoint, GoToWebinar, etc. If you are proficient in an application and would like to share your expertise, let us know!)
- Eligible to submit articles for posting to our website. Articles can be accessed by members, meeting planners, publications, etc.
- Eligible for "Kudos Column" on NSAT website. When you achieve or do something great, we want to know and we want to share the news!
- Special "Members Only" events (coffees, lunches, get-togethers, focus groups, etc. with special guests or groups, ex: CSP's, authors, etc.).
- One-time, at-cost charge for a personal DiSC assessments of your choice and follow-up available with a certified trainer. (Time Mastery, Leadership 360, Personal Behaviors, Listening Skills are currently being offered.)
- Eligible to nominate/vote in chapter leadership positions.
- Use of NSAT logo.
- Spouse teams can join with one membership fee (however will pay additional $20 meeting registration when both are attending chapter meetings).
- Eligible to join the NSAT LinkedIn private group. (There are some great leads and ideas shared here!)
